Developing our culture: Improving everyone's Life at LUHFT

LUHFT is on a journey of improvement, change and transformation. A huge part of this improvement journey is creating the right culture for our people, patients and the communities we serve. Our aim is for LUHFT to become a safe, kind, compassionate and inclusive place to work and learn – a place we can all be proud of. Our behaviours: Living our Values Every Day 

Having a set of shared values and behaviours helps create a kind, compassionate and consistent culture, one that we have all agreed on. We are a values-driven organisation with the trust values of Caring, Fair and Innovative at the heart of everything we do.

Our values were created by our staff, patients and members of our communities, who felt that by living these values on a daily basis we will be able to achieve our vision for the future. Alongside, trust values, work is also underway to build a kinder LUHFT and create a values and behaviour framework that outlines the behaviours we would like to see for a good day at work, and avoid to stop us having regular bad days. Our Vision: Our Strategic Framework

It is important that LUHFT has a strategic framework, which sets out the direction of travel for the Trust and provides everyone with a set of priorities, so we can all work together, with a shared focus. Our Future Together focuses on four strategic priorities, great care, great people, great research and innovation, and great ambitions. By realising these priorities we can deliver on our mission which is to deliver outstanding healthcare for our patients. This helps everyone at LUHFT to work towards the Trust vision which is to work together to support the communities we serve to live healthier, happier, fairer lives. Our commitment: Equality, Diversity and Inclusion 

LUHFT is committed to celebrating the diversity of it’s workforce, ensuring fair treatment and opportunity for every colleague, patient, partner and the communities we serve. Having a diverse workforce helps us to meet the diverse needs of our population both locally and wider. There are a number of staff networks which look to enable the trust to become a more inclusive place to work, a dedication to ensuring fairness and equity is lived within the organisation through practices, policies, behaviours and a shared commitment to our trust ‘fair’ value.
