Disability Toolkit Guidance

Disabled staff told us in the Health and Wellbeing survey and in the staff survey that they do not feel that they are supported enough in the workplace with reasonable adjustments.  To increase disability awareness and confidence and support our managers, disabled staff and disabled patients, the Trust has purchased a disability toolkit from the Business Disability Forum.  The toolkit includes a line managers guide to making a reasonable adjustments and a line managers guide to working with disabled colleagues, informative briefing papers on 12 different impairment types plus guides to welcoming disabled people and how to communicate with disabled people.
