Learning Pathways

Everything you need to know about LUHFT's new Learning Pathways

We are really excited that the LUHFT learning Pathways are now live!

What should you do next?

  1. Familiarise yourself with the pathways - spend some time looking at the pathways via the links below. This algorithm will help you consider the most relevant pathway to you. If you have any questions, please check our Frequently Asked Questions.
  2. Have a Development Conversation - If you are a member of staff, ask your manager for a development conversation to discuss the pathway most relevant to you in your role. If you are a line manager, consider your own pathway as well as the pathway that will be most suitable for your direct reports. Book in a development conversation between line manager and direct report. Follow our guidance on how to have a development conversation, here. When you are ready for your development conversation, use the template here. You can store this locally once complete.
  3. Complete the Pathway Declaration form - Agree the pathway that’s right for you, then complete the declaration form here. This will allow L&D to open up your relevant pathway.
  4. Book onto the programmes on receipt of your declaration form, Learning and Development will send you guidance on your pathway. Courses will be bookable via ESR self-service. with the exception of the modules below. Click the relevant image in your pathway guidance for the link to book the following workshops:
    1. Leading with Values
    2. Values into Action
    3. Leading a Kinder LUHFT (live from January 2024)
    4. Building a Kinder LUHFT (live form January 2024)
  5. Self Declaration - If your levels of competence and experience as a manager demonstrate that you do not need to attend a particular element of your pathway, please agree this with your line manager. Once agreed, self-declare your competence via ESR. Note sure? Check the relevant programme skills scan. Note any previously completed modules will already be marked complete on your pathway.
  6. Complete your pathway, checking in on progress during 121s. Don't forget to also check out your optional pathway elements. There are lots of development opportunities available to you.
  7. Transfer the Learning Conversation - at the end of your pathway, complete the final sections of the development conversation template, with your transfer of learning conversation. Need some help with this? Check out our bitesize resource here
  8. Let us know what you think as you go. This is a new process and we are keen to refine this further. If something isn’t working for you please let us know.
