The following information provides guidance on how to access CPD funding.

How do I access funding support for training and education for nurses, nursing associates, or AHP's?

Annually, the training and education learning needs analysis (TELNA, previously know as training needs analysis) is completed by line managers to request for funding for courses identified by their staff.  This information could come from  appraisals, service development plans or other additional needs. How can I access support for students on placement?

Student nurses and AHPs are supported by the Practice Education Facilitators (PEF).  They can be contacted by email #pef@liverpoolft.nhs.uk  and phone (Aintree – 0151-529-6097; Royal – 0151-706-3248; BGH – 0151-282-6242).

How can I access support for Training Nurse Associates (TNA)?

A dedicated TNA Team provides support to trainees whilst on the Programme.  If you need support for your TNAs or would like to know more about the programme, contact 0151-706-5468 or 0151-529-4694.

How can I access support for newly qualified nurses (NQNs) and internationally educated nurses (IENs)?

The Practice Development Nurses (PDNs) provide support for NQNs and IENs by working with them within the clinical areas to support the achievement of competencies.  They are also hold individual and group career conversations, support with job applications and interview preparations.

How can I access support for Clinical Supervision?

Clinical supervision is a formal process of professional support, reflection and learning that contributes to individual and team development.  For individual or group supervision, contact 0151-529-6097 or 0151-706-3248.
