General Risk Assessment

The Trust has a legal requirement under Health and Safety legislation to conduct risk assessments across the organization. In order to manage this requirement, the Trust must have in place suitably trained assessors to carry out this role. 

Who is this course for?

This course is for nominated staff from all Trust departments. Staff having completed this course will conduct General Risk Assessments within their own work areas.

What to expect on the day

This training will last for approximately 4 hours and is classroom based. It will enable attending staff to understand and conduct general risk assessments.

Learning outcomes

  1. Understand the principles and practices of risk assessment
  2. Understanding risk evaluation
  3. Selecting control measures
  4. Implementing control methods
  5. Monitoring and reviewing

This training is face to face. The Health and Safety department will be following all Trust Covid guidelines as appropriate.
