Conditional Offer

Once interviews have been conducted and the department has successfully recruited, the lead interviewer will move the successful applicant/s file into offer pending.

The Lead interview will move the vacancy to offer stage and the recruitment team will issue conditional offer letter of employment to the successful applicant/s and start the process of pre-employment checks. The required pre-employment checks will differ depending on candidate’s role and whether they are internal or external.

Additional vacancies

On occasion, when recruiting to a position, further vacancies (same job role and job description) may arise. You may wish to appoint from this selection process however will need to ensure that you have completed the authorisation for this additional position or positions. When there are applicants who can be appointed to additional roles, place them in offer reserve (in Trac) and raise a new vacancy request stating that you wish to 'link' it to your initial request (you will need to supply the initial job reference number). Inform the reserve candidate/s that you may be able to offer them a position in future pending the outcome of the new vacancy request. Note, candidates on the redeployment list will be considered before any further offers can be made.
